“If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.” – Warren Buffett. Do you agree with this quote by the famous Warren Buffett? Inflation is generally around 3% per year on average, so we are actually losing money if the money isn’t growing. So while it is important to have some cash saved up for an emergency, too much cash on hand essentially means a negative 3% return at the end of the year.
Most Americans don’t have $1000 saved up for emergency funds (that’s honestly not much of an emergency fund if you are being realistic), did you at least saved up that much? Comment below. Though it’s not likely to lose money long-term on your retirement or portfolio investments managed by professionals, investment experts will always tell you to invest what you can afford to lose.
Where do you get information on what to invest? There is plenty of information on Google and online in general but requires some filtering out to make sure the strategy and information presented is relevant when you are browsing.
